This picturesque painting shows a mountain view of the Alps from a green shuttered home, similar to those of quaint southern Bavarian villages.
Jespersen trained at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen and was known for his fine landscapes depicting views from the Alps and Zealand . He received several prizes for his work and exhibited in Paris, Germany and Chicago.
